The feature debut of former sports journalist Erwan Le Duc is a warm, endearing, and sometimes surprising comedy about difficult relationships and the search for love. There is room for laughter but also moments of emotion. It is hardly surprising, since Le Duca was baptized the heir of such classics as Wes Anderson or Aki Kaurismäki.
IN CINEMA FROM SEPTEMBER 13, 2019
Pierre Perdrix leads a quiet life in a small, sleepy French town. As befits a police captain, his every day is perfectly organized and therefore also predictable. At least until he is out of contact with his family.
The main character seems to be the only person who is able to keep his loved ones in check. After his father's death, Pierre's mother, who hosted a popular radio show, threw himself into a flaming romance, and his older brother gave himself a peculiar hobby. Family relationships may change as soon as an attractive and somewhat mysterious Juliette appears in the area.
