We present the latest chapter in the terrifying and breaking records of the popularity of sacred horror genre. "Heresy" is the history of a nun, imbued with mysticism and horror, who are trying to gain strength from hell. The film is the work of Paul Heyet ("Howl") - a master of make-up and author of special effects for chilling pictures: "Descent", "Woman in Black" and "Eden Lake". The main role in "Heresy" plays Hannah Arterton, known from the series - "Abandoned according to Harlan Coben" and "Safe". On the screen are her partners: Clare Higgins ("Hellraiser: Messenger of Hell"), Dilan Gwyn ("Dracula: Unknown Story") and the unique Michael Ironside ("Absolute Memory").

A young woman - Persephone (Hannah Arterton) is falsely accused of witchcraft and sentenced to death. Before the execution, she is rescued by the intervention of the mysterious Reverend Mother. The self-proclaimed religious leader offers Persephone help. The condition is to enter the convent and confusion in the walls of an isolated monastery, where a small group of fallen women is already doing penance for sins. After arriving at the place, the girl is harassed by terrifying visions and soon realizes that the grim monastery - in fact - is a place of evil that goes far beyond human understanding.
